June 16-17 Visalia Sportsman Range will host the SW Region 10 shot Unlimited Championship. Saturday will be Unlimited 100-200. Sunday will be HV 100-200. Visalia Range has always been a popular range and Unlimited is what they do best. We are trying to get as many So Cal shooters up there as possible. Last I looked there are at least 20 Rail Guns in So Cal. By now with some new stuff coming in this year that number may be as high as 30. When I started at San Gabriel there were only 3 active shooters with Rail Guns, Gary Sinclair, Richard Mooers, and myself.
During my 11 years writing the San Gabriel Schedule we had as many as 5 shoots including Unlimited each year. The guys love it down here. The Schedule I wrote for 2008 Angeles Range has 5 days that include Unlimited shooting out of our 15 scheduled days of shooting. Our concentration on Unlimited at San Gabriel produced 2 NBRSA Unlimited Champions - Lawrence Weisdorn and Gary Sinclair and 1 WR in Richard Mooers.
If you want to come up and shoot only the HV come up at least to watch the afternoon Unlimited 200. We have the guns in So Cal and the horses to make a run for the Unlimited Championship.
