One more thing I would like to comment on is the build up inside of cans over use.
I have a 7.62SDN-6 from advanced armament corp that has been used on a 12" 308 semi auto as the worst and a bolt action 300blackout at the lowest usage end for pressure. I will say this can on 9 guns for over 12k rounds of high power center fire ammo has stood up well. The ratchet mech has some carbon build up that gives me trouble and I am well past what the manufacture says should go between cleanings but I can send it to them and have this SEALED can cleaned for FREE. My bolt gun cans in all likely hood will never ever ever ever be cleaned because they will never need it. The higher pressures and jacketed bullets prevent any accountable build up from occurring inside the can. The SDN-6 is used with surplus ammo as well as cheap pistol powders in some subsonic applications making it down right filthy and it still works fine and after twelve thousand rounds of ammo has not "clogged" up enough to block the baffles. We are talking a can I do water training with and have muzzle stuffed into the mud on occasion then cleaned out with a pressure washer and continued to shoot. For bolt guns I would get the thunder beast arms 30P-1 thread on with 5/8-24 threads and would never need another till moving up to a 338 or larger.
