Bill H.R. 367 Hearing Protection Act ( Suppressor )

I own several suppressors and have one in process right now. The current form has been in house at NFA for between five and six months and, according to my SOT holder, will be another three to four more. This is ridiculous!
If this bill were to pass as written anyone who went thru NFA to purchase as far back as October 2015 would get a refund on their tax stamp payment (at least this is what I hear from guys who sell suppressors).
Sadly, there will still be states that regulate (ban) the sale of suppressors even after they are taken off Federal NFA spotlight.

I only wish it would do more for that F...in IDIOT! But then anything to do that benefits us "Gun Owners" rights, that clown would oppose simply because he's a flamin bleeding heart liberal who cannot believe Gunowners, for the most part, are responsible in what we do. But glad to see the trend of anti-Gun ownership is taking a major hit and hopefully more will be done to legitimize that which most of us already know is encased in a certain document, called the US Constitution in several sections.

Alex

Rather than most of the Leftist Progressives being so rabidly anti-gun, think about who will wind up with all the power if we don't keep the 2nd Amendment!!! It would probably be more accurate to call the anti-gun movement "power to the left". Feinstein & most of the liberal Left Progressives do have armed body guards, but they damn sure don't want it know by the general public!!

Those states are growing smaller in number every year.
MN changed it's law about 18 mos ago. Thus far no blood running in the streets.

I wonder how many crimes have ever been commited with a a suppressor. How about the ever dangerious 50 BMG?

You are right on point as to why Law Enforcement is supporting this legislation or said another way not objecting to it's implementation; studies of crimes committed using suppressors on firearms is negligible.

I wish it would get fast tracked but with current senate leadership I won't hold my breath. They are having a hard time even consenting to judicial nominees and it's kinda difficult to get much done on a two day work week.

Just when you think something might get started some maniacal idiot decides to claim his fame and the media dutifully fawns over him for months on end. The result of which makes the gutless wonders we elected collective butt's to pucker a little more. With the RINO caucus we will be lucky to even have the bill debated.

For the idiots in charge it will be a major feat to just get tax reform done by Christmas and Obamacare will likely never get repealed. Pelosi was right about that. It's what big government people want, more control.

I have written and still do on occasion so my senators know how I feel about it but one of them is pretty tone deaf and part of the problem. As citizens and members of the fraternity, I'm afraid we still have much to do. As constituents it remains our duty to let the blighters know where we stand. Apathy is an aid to the miscreants in power and when enough voices are raised they will start to pay attention.

And he will never be defeated in an election in NY. HE OWNS NYC, and that's all he needs.

How does law enforcement feel about this? I have concern about the safety of our officers. Any thoughts?

Bad guys don't use suppressors. Much harder for a bad guy to conceal a pistol with a suppressor
Law abiding citizens use suppressors.

Law enforcement officers have nothing to worry about. To think otherwise is not realistic and fear mongering.

99.99% of the gun community respects and supports Law Enforcement officers and we also don't want to put them in any more danger either.

Thats correct about the idiot' The rest of us in New York are victim,s of down state Politics.
I wish that big city was a district like DC' But really we have 2 Both are communists
