suppressor for f-0pen

Can anyone see anything in the f-class open rules that would prohibit the use of a suppressor? I certainly realize that any type of muzzle brake is prohibited.

F-class operates under NRA high power competition rules.

"3.16.1 (a) Sound suppressors are not authorized for use in high power competition."

Besides the official printed rules, is there anything that would prohibit the use of a suppressor? ;D
They are also illegal to possess in about half the country.

Actually suppressors are legal to possess and own in roughly 35 of the 50 states.

Regardless of what the various sites say, you want to check to see that your individual state permits private ownership of a suppressor.

I don't own any suppressors because I can't use them in any type of high power competition, but I sure wish you could. If everyone used a suppressor, gun clubs would certianly take less heat for the noise factor. I also think suppressors should be boiught over the counter like a box of bullets. It's just another result of the fear of the unknown law making on behalf of legislature ignorance.
