Supertrickler? Good bad and ugly?

Everything is even faster if you use two calibrated cups. Ive been doing that with my Autotrickler
all through the different versions...Im sure it will work with the ST as well. Just an other idea for anyone interested....enjoy the ride

I just set up my Supertrickler. I have the unit talking to the scale and that seems fine, but something is amiss in regard to powder dispensing. When I attempt to dispense charges the unit bulk dumps about 1.5 grains of powder, then stops and tries to trickle the rest of the way up to the 28.9 grain target weight I input. Obviously this isn't going to work because it will take forever. Not sure what is going on. I made sure to input the correct powder (N133), and I played around with the min and max settings to no avail. I looked on the website in the FAQ section but there isn't anything there. I am not a Facebook user so hoping someone here has an answer and can push me in the right direction? I've sent Rex this same question and I'm waiting to hear back, but I have no clue when that will happen, and I want to get busy loading with this new system.

Since I'm a new user, maybe I missed something in the setup. I really don't know. I'll dig into the manual again. There is a lot of information there. Maybe the answer is there, but I didn't find it. Thanks guys.

What powder are you using?

So I got the issue worked out. Tons of settings on this thing.

I’m averaging about 7 seconds per charge right now with very few overthrows. At one point I had 42 consecutive before an overthrow. Pretty happy at this point, but I’d still like to pick up a bit more speed. If anyone has some solid N133 parameters to share it would be appreciated.

Well, I just pulled the trigger, mid July delivery (maybe). V4 is great so no rush. EDIT: I do wish the V4 was faster but like others have said with the ST the next load is ready before they finish seating the bullet, I'm having to wait on the V4 to finish taking a dump to load. We shall see.
Mine came in but I'm in South Dakota so will be next week before I can mess with it!

I am impressed with the performance and I’ve barely scratched the surface. Looking forward to tweaking it to wring as much as I can out of it. It’s all about speed vs accuracy. I just bought a second pan which should really make my process flow. I hope you like yours.

I've had the ST for several months now, and really enjoy the speed and accuracy. However, a few days ago, after not reloading for a month or two, I started reloading and it began making a very loud noise. Like a belt was slipping or something loose internally. I could see the larger powder tube hanging up. I sent them an email a few days ago and have yet to hear back from Rex or customer service.

Well, finally got to mess with mine today and it is not reading the scale. Anyone else have this problem? I have contacted them but the instructions said it wasn't monitored 24/7 so could be a few days before they respond. Bummer.

Follow the set up instructions. All issues I have seen have been related to not reading the instructions. I know most of us throw them away before we get started with a project, but in this case, well worth reading. Will eliminate 99% of issues I have seen reported.

I did, every single step. It doesn't recognize the scale.

Try again. It took me two times because I missed a step. Pay attention to the readout on the scale as you click the buttons. It is more important than the number of clicks. For example, in some cases where the manual may say press the button 5 times, it may only require 4 to get to the appropriate readout. The desired readout is more important than the number of clicks it takes to get there.

When I got mine, it wouldn’t power the scale-
I did reset umteen times…got tired of here that crap- texted, called, emailed…

Come to find out it was the A&D FX120i scale board itself - quick call to them, chatted with an engineer-I got a new board for the scale

pin #9 coming from scale didn’t show voltage when JUST the scale (stand alone only) was powered up

I’ll throw that out there for anyone else who might have troubles
