Popped up to my range last night to try these Speer 32 GR. (more or less) bullets that I got dirt cheap. They had grouped for me at pretty much 1MOA with a jump of .020". These loads were in the lands .010" longer than "touch". As you can see, results were mediocre.
The other groups you see there are with 32GR V-Max, and a load of BLC-2 that always shoots consistently. (23 GR) I give them a .010 jump to touch length.
I shot those five groups trying different holds from free recoil, to very hard. Conditions were pretty good for shooting with maybe a 5 MPH cross wind gusts. Barrel was "unclean", with well over fifty, and perhaps as many as a hundred shots since last cleaning.
I know these aren't bragging sized groups, but what they are, is quickly loaded, metered charges, unsorted brass of dubious age and heritage. They are primarily squirrel loads which I don't want to waste a lot of time on. They seem very consistent with disregard to barrel temp, shooting technique, brass quality, etc.. Basically the type of reload which I'll burn a few hundred of in an afternoon of squirrel shooting.
I think I can say honestly, that they shoot dime sized groups "ALL DAY LONG". (if I do my part)
