Hello I`am new to this forum. Have been reading alot of posts about how good the Lapua brass is. I decided to give them a try. I bought 100 pieces and overall was pretty impressed with them. My question is that with the load that I use my 6x fired FC brass has a better group @ 100 yrds. than the new Lapua. Can I expect the group to tighten up since the Lapua brass has now been fire formed to my chamber ?
The specs. on my load that I use: 22-250 rem.
41.0 gr h380
Br 2 cci primer
case neck turned - .0125
.047 jump to lands
55 gr Nosler solid base (orange tip )bullets
The Lapua brass was FL sized and the FC brass were just neck sized and annealed.
Sorry did not have a chance to chrono loads, groups on the FC brass .265 , Lapua .457 . These were 5 shot groups
The rifle I have is a Ruger M77 Mark ll 26" heavy barrel.
Thanks for any opinions
Kenny
