Stuck case in the chamber

Hi Everyone
I just had a bad incident at the range with my brand new rifle that I put together. that could have been worse.
Reloaded my ammo late last night.
Fired a few rounds today and everything was fine and last round didn’t go bang, extracted but didn’t look at the case, looks like there was no powder and primer ignition pushed the bullet into the rifling but I thought I extracted it and fired the next round and you know what happened after.
Defiance action, Bartlein heavy varmint 28” chambered in samii 6.5 creedmoor

Thanks Jesus I wasn’t looking through the scope otherwise I was blind now, ended up having to fragments from the brass into my shoulder. The bolt is frozen and I can barely pull it up.
I am going to send the barrel action toy gunsmith, do you guys have any experience if the action even worth using after this? Even if there is bo stuck bullet in the barrel? Will this barrel safe to use? How about accuracy?

Why do you think you extracted the bullet in the last round that didn't go bang?

Have you run a cleaning rod down the barrel to even see if there is a lodged bullet in the barrel?…. They may have both exited the barrel and you just have an over pressured case keeping your bolt from opening.

i will borescope it tonight, when I was at the range, the range master sent a cleaning rod and confirmed both bullets has exited, it’s not my first precision rifle but the most fancy one. I am so pissed at myself causing this situation, the other sad part is that I can’t find out if the action still shoots good till I test it, when can i test it? At least a few months, I reached out to my gunsmith and he said he will send it to Defiance so they can measure with laser if there is any bend. Anyways I am so grateful I am not blind.
 
Guess it could happen that two bullets went down the same bore? The gun should have blown up!

Why weren’t you looking through the scope when the round went off?

Loading “late” at night might really be saying that you were in a hurry? Maybe?

I’m glad you’re not seriously hurt.

Yes I was in a hurry
The reason I wasn’t looking was that I was fireforming the brass, wasn’t shooting for groups. I do that with all my rifles

Don't be too hard on yourself - I literally dodged a similar situation a few years back... Had a batch of rounds loaded for a test, never got to it. When the next opportunity came around, I invited someone along to give them an opportunity to fire a rifle for the first time. I prepped a bunch of extra rounds, and then for some reason decided that I would rather pull the bullets from the completed batch and do a new batch in different increments. Last round I pulled, there was no powder in... Instant chills... Just glad you walked away relatively unscathed, but more importantly, it didn't hurt someone else...

take some pics of the action. as many as possible. gas vent?

Makes no sense? Not looking thru your optic, where were you aiming… ?
Not much to FF’ing 6.5CM.
The round had to at least pop with a primer and no powder?
Glad you’re ok though.
