Strange OLD Custom Action - Discuss "Features"

So I was browsing GB and came across the action below. Pretty interesting. Fat bodied bolt. Strange extractor. Very strange locking lug geometry. Super strange material removal on the bottom of the action.

Mfg. by Charles Poff mid to late 1980's the angled lugs were problematic with extraction. he kind of came and went in a relatively short period of time.... I shot next to him in Mainville at the 2-300 yd nationals when action was first introduced nice guy wondered what happened to him...

Man. I haven't seen one of them in a while. I think Gene Thompson used to shoot one at the Leetown, WVa matches.

The metal used in those is supposed to be harder than Chinese arithmetic. As in you aren't gonna be able to open up a boltface carbide tools or not.
