I am just going to wait when it comes back I’ll proceed with the final finishing if all works out great if not I’ll go from there. Again I am not bashing CPA rifles none of us are perfect I just wanted to know what the thoughts were on doweling and re-drilling and it is a nice piece of lumber thanks again for the in put. I’ll post some pictures when I am finishedI think i would try to do the inlet and see how it fits as is. Think about all the old rifles where the wood has shrunk so much that the hole around the stock bolt is super sloppy but the stock is still tight.
Walt is right you could drill it bigger(do NOT use a twist drill bit, it will tear things apart) and you could wrap the tube our our back with a couple layers of tape and bed around the hole. You'll know it's there but no-one else will. Sorry it's turning into a cluster for you.
