i have a .223 rem that i'm wanting to restock, but am unsure what stock to go with. Gun is a right hand sa 700. 19.5" barrel, threaded and will be shot with my liberty torch hanging on the front. the rifle is used at my private 200yd range for the VAST majority of shooting...but I also have a family member with some land that I go and shoot <500yds at. Range duty is done from a bench....the rest is done prone (until i get a portable bench built, that's sturdy enough to shoot from) I'm going to be running a protector rear bag..and right now I'm shooting with a harris 6-9sbrm (had a sinclair f-class, but couldn't get use to it) but will be going to a cowan rest as soon as the spring run is ready for sale. this gun has to conform to NO class....this is purely a fun gun. The action is sitting in a Hart LRT right now, with accublock, but I'd prefer something that'll run from a bag better.
Cliffs:
Rem 700 SA RH
100-200yd from bench
cowan rest
up to 500yd prone
NON tactical...have enough of those
I was thinking a Shehane tracker...maybe an edge? cheaper the better, of course
