Stock advise needed

I bought a sleeve for a Rem 700 short action that I'm going to have installed on a 6.5x284. Was told it has the same footprint as a Stolle panda but is just a little wider. Is the screw spacing the same on these actions? I was going to order a BR stock from Richards micro fit but didn't know if I should order one for a 700 and just open it up or order one for a Stolle panda.

Richards does not show any custom action inlets on their site. I would call them directly before making any decision. Bear in mind that their stocks are fairly rough (especially their inletting). If you are handy with wood you could order the Remington inlet and then inlet the Panda footprint yourself. It is basically flat-bottom as I recall. Moving action screw holes is not a huge deal. Fill the ones you don't use and drill the new.
I do think there are better sources for your need.

There are much better options out there.

Jason50 , the best stock advice I was given and has worked extremely well , buy low and sell high .
Sorry I couldn't resist .
Richards stocks are meant for gunsmiths and men that grew up with helping there dads and grandfathers making stuff . I don't mean to dis anyone , but they are not for the instant gratification generation .
You need good wood carving tools , not a dremel , repeat NOT A DREMEL .
A few rasps , bottoming chisels , barrel rasps , or 36 grt wrapped around dowels ,
Disregard all this if you have Terreco star or radar carve stock duplicator .

A friend of mine is a gunsmith and can do the woodwork for me. He has several stocks from Richards that he has on custom built rifles he's done. He told me about needing more work that the website says and can take care of me on that
