6pps bolt face to 6br?

I'm looking at buying a "Speedy" built 6ppc with a Stolle Panda right bolt, left port action. I'm watning to screw the ppc barrel off,and replace with a 6br barrel. Is the bolt face going to be the same for 6pps, and 6 br?

No, but if you send it to Kelbly's, they will open it for about $55. I recently had mine opened so it extracts PPC and BR cases.

First call Kelbly's and have the serial # of the action. Most of the late production actions were set up at Kelbly's to pull both PPC and .473 cases. They can probably tell you by serial #.

maybe you could turn the rim and extractor groove from .473" to .442". there is a post on this sight that shows the cutter used to do this. hope this helps. ______treeman
