I see there is scuttlebutt that Biden has a tax increase in the works, on corporations who will just leave money off shore again and on 400K+ earners who will just establish tax favorable trusts for their family members. They just don't get the concept of not picking others pockets. I hear it will generate about 2 trillion over 10 years. That's 200 billion a year. Ya, that will put a huge dent in our 28 trillion national debt.

Guys, before you "spend" the money, check to see if you qualify to get even a penny. I suspect many people on this Forum will get ZERO dollars, or a significantly reduced amount.

Single Taxpayers with Adjusted Gross Income of $80,000+ get ZERO, and from $75,001-$79998 there is a diminishing amount.

For example, $78,000 AGI gets $560.

I will say, that I just bought a new Mathews V3 27" and I think she needs a Garmin Zero sight and some brand new arrow! In my defense, I have been running the same Hoyt bow since 1999, so I was due. Going to be hard to let the old girl hang on the wall when I leave for the tree stand. She has put down a lot of deer in her days!

A little over 50% of my retirement isn't taxable so I get the entire stimulus amount. Matter-of-fact it showed up in my checking account this afternoon.

Meant to add, the Gov't doesn't have any money. Whatever they have doled out to their pet projects, they have taken from other people or the future. The Gov't CANNOT give you money without taking it away from someone else.

I know there are people who have had their businesses and livelihood crippled by the Gov’s shutdown response to COVID. We’ll probably never know for sure if the checks hurt more than they helped. What’s scarier to me are the ongoing unemployment benefits and child credits. Normalizing Gov-subsidized living on that scale, and the narrative that people “deserve” the payments, only ends one way.

He might as well take the stimulus. If he doesn't, he'll just pay the increased taxes that will be used to cover the stimulus payments and will be out the money that everyone else took.

Having been sick since last September I haven't been posting very much. But, the following occurred the last 3 days. Having a bite with my daughter and she asks if we should plan on going to CA. for Christmas. I piped up, "We could use our stimulus check". She starts checking American Airlines out of Richmond, VA. Here is what she found RIC. VA. to Oakland, CA.

I sold a spotting scope a couple of days ago here on the forum. The buyer lives about 5 hours from me. Went to UPS and told the clerk, "it's not very far, just get it there". Just get it there was almost $75.00!! I was totally dumbfounded. Went to the post office...It was 28.00 with insurance! Guess I haven't mailed anything in quite a while.

Of all places Oakland CA They would have to pay me to fly there .
