Monday Morning my wife woke up with a terrible pain in her left side, low down. We went to a local clinic, they sent her to the local hospital.
They did a Scan, and Ultrasound, XRays, could not find anything amiss. Blood work came out good. Urine was clear.
They said maybe she pulled a muscle,, or something else, and sent her home as all of the test came out negative.
She had no more pain, so we figured we would still leave for the TackDriver this morning.
Yesterday evening, the pain returned. She went back to the hospital, they finally discovered that she had a severe urinary track infection and a inflammation in her left kidney.
We got home late last night. The treatment is antibiotics. The also gave her some medication for the pain. It should clear up in four to five days.
The hospital had little explanation as to why they could not find this Monday.
I am thankful all of the other test showed to abnormalities. At our age, your first thoughts are always fearful that it is something very serious. Thank goodness it is something they can treat with a simple procedure. Our trip to South Carolina is on hold, probably canceled. We certainly don’t won’t to get on the road and this start giving her more trouble. And I am not leaving town knowing my wife is not well.
Even though I am now going to miss The TackDriver, I know that I have a lot to be thankful for and will just look forward to what next year brings.
