If I was responsible it would pay down some of the credit card purchases from Midsouth & Grafs since last year around this time. Still need a few things, but it's the 2nd month in a row that there's nothing in stock anywhere when the new credit cycle comes around. Damn!

I really want to try out a 338 Federal, but no dies anywhere. A shop up the line has a few new Tikkas & Christensens in stock too... Decisions, decisions.

Friend, may I suggest you need to pay OFF the credit cards, and then commit to only using them if you can pay them off in full each and every month. Debt, like liberalism, is your enemy. Debt, like liberalism, will erode your life and liberty, and cause you unending stress.

An average bank savings account in the US is currently "earning" just under 1/10 of one percent. Meaning, if you had $1k in the bank, at the end of one year, you'd have earned one dollar in interest.

An average credit card interest rate in the US is 14.65%. So the bank is earning 146x what you are. Even the Mafia thinks that is excessive.

Dave Ramsey is right when he says you don't want to be financially "normal", because that means broke.

yeah you musta went to UPS store-- Post office is way cheaper than they are. I go to the UPS hub, but they will pick up from your house to and you pay reg UPS amount

Well, things dont always work the way they should. I make plans & Odin, or whoever's in charge, laughs. 4 years ago I was 100% debt free. Then life happened.... again. Thanks for your concern, but I'll get by OK. At this point in my life I'm not terribly concerned. When it's over, the kids will still end up with more than they had & I get to enjoy the final decade or so a little bit.

I salute your courage and believe you are correct about the march toward communism. I'm keeping my check and will use to pay on my property taxes and the additional cost of fuel for my truck. Really worried about my fixed income, future inflation, and higher taxes eating into my estate. Currently looking for remote land and a cabin, where I can hunt, grow food, set up a still, a maybe grow weed, and keep my family close, as it all comes tumbling down. Hope the new boss ain't like the old boss. Sorry for the doom and gloom. Guess the generation currently in power forgot about live and let live.

As things are today, the stimulus check will cover the excess gas price increase for the year. I put alot if miles on my truck hauling a trailer/camper and at almost 1.00 more per gallon which is where it will be soon, that 1400.00 will go fast. That makes me feel good for at least the first year. After that, were on our own.

DirtySteve, I am with you on the weed, don't use it. Further rarely drink, but as a means of barter when it all goes south, you have to do things, that in normal life you would not do. Hopefully I am just expressing my disgust with the direction the world seems to be going. My ancestors have a long history (pre Revolutionary War) of making whiskey and and into the 1930's and like to talk about attempting it.

I will say, that I just bought a new Mathews V3 27" and I think she needs a Garmin Zero sight and some brand new arrow! In my defense, I have been running the same Hoyt bow since 1999, so I was due. Going to be hard to let the old girl hang on the wall when I leave for the tree stand. She has put down a lot of deer in her days!

Our checks will go into our grandchildren's (oldest is 4) investment vehicles, hopefully they will increase enough to help them pay them taxes that will still be in affect to pay for this financial idiocy.
It's vote buying people, started with Johnson's great society in 64' and will continue as both sides court the "handout" vote.
