I have a new Stiller Predator action on order. Jerry says they are a short Remington clone so Remington accessories should work with it. I specified that it be a single shot instead of a repeater and I'm leaning towards chambering it in 30BR for a cool little short range hunting gun. Where I hunt you seldom get long shots at deer and my 30BR HV bench gun has really impressed me. I like that cartridge.
I need recomendations on stocks. Tell me what you like and why. I'm not tied in to plastic or wood at this point.,Wood definitly looks prettier.) I also need some input on barrel contours. Once more what contour and why. I'll probably use a Shilen as I've had good experiences with them.
I'll use a Jewell live varmint trigger and I have an 8X 16" long Unertl internal adjustment scope. The name Unertl just makes me feel good, I suppose it's a status thing.
This is going to be a fun gun to build when I get the time. First I want it to shoot good but a close second is that I want it to look great. I need to make up my mind so I can get the barrel and the stock ordered.
