Predator Action Feeding Problems

I have a Stiller Predator repeater action barrelled in 7WSM, bedded to a McMmillan blind magazine stock. Based on Stiller's recommendation I purchased a Wyatt center feed magazine box with a flat follower and a standard Remington short action follower spring. My gunsmith can't get it to feed ... the first round feeds but not with 100% reliability and the second round will not feed at all. Have any of you had this problem with the Predator? What was you solution? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don`t know about the Stiller action but I`ve read before that a WSM won`t feed good through a Rem type action. Thats why I`m going with the saum in my 700.

hope that helps...

I bought a wyatt to extend my 308. It gave me a fit also. Finally I measured the top of the old magazine box top, fore and aft and when I bent it to those dimensions it worked fine. HS precision sells a little bending tool with the dimensions of several calibers wrote on it to adjust their detachable magazine to different calibers. Brownells sells it. I do not know if the short magnum is one of them.
