Spencer 103 bullets

I used them at the nbrsa 1000 yard nationals last October in my lightgun a 6Dasher.I beat the tar out of the second place finisher who ever that was.
My father will be shooting them at the upcoming 600/1000 yard nationals in two weeks time. They flat-out shoot.

They tune the same as a Berger 105 with seating depth being the key to winning. As of right now it is the best 600/1000 yard 6mm bullet out there in my opinion.

If you need them in a hurry look for another bullet.Clay had a 58,000 bullet backlog due to no jackets but has since caught up on all his orders. You can call him once a week and see if he has bullets if you want or you can get him to place your name on a list.I simply ask him how much and send him the money.
As soon as he gets them made the pre-paid orders go out first then the guys calling in weekly buy the rest.
I live quite far from him and with the shipping they ran $613 for a thousand bullets.Last year they set 11 records that I am aware of.

If I remember correctly, Jason Baney shoots the Spencer 103's in his 6mmBR light gun... That gun is a hammer. I've seen him put up some small groups (6" or less) at 1K, in tricky winds (Williamsport.... it's always tricky!)

He switched to the 103's because his "8 twist" barrel wouldn't stabilize the 105+ bullets past 800 yards or so. The 103's work, and they work very well through that barrel.

This is all info that I remembered Jason explaining at the BR school in Williamsport last year... Hopefully I remembered it accurately :)

I find that odd, that a 1-8 barrel won't stabilize a 105. When 115's will work out of a Bartlein 8 twist and the 107 hammer out of it.....jim

Jim, It was something like that... I think the twist was actually a little slower than advertised.

I'll PM Jason and ask him to post here... I have a shitty memory! That way you can get it straight from the source.

Walt, I know the feeling, I think they call it the golden years. The only gold goes to health care...jim

I'm 26... I don't think that's what they call the Golden years! ;D

Seriously though... I have a memory like a grandpa! (no offense to all the grandpas out there!)
