Source for 3/8" tubing

Looking for a source for 3/8" tubing. Do not care if it is plastic or metal. I went to Ace and aluminum is $8.50 for three feet. I am making loading tubes for my tubular magazine .22. Pre load them before going to the range and then just dump them in. I looked at Mc Master Carr, but am trying to find something cheaper. Need about 20 pieces to hold 6 cartridges each.

How long do they need to be? I might have exactly what you could use and it would be a good way for me to add something to the Pay it Forward thread!

I have some old aluminum arrows that I just checked to make sure, that will hold a .22 LR round. .345" OD and ~.303" ID.

I used to do a lot of pneumatic industrial tubing and probably have some seamless stainless you could have if I can find a piece of 3/8

If you have a local Hobby store that caters to RC model airplanes, they generally carry brass tubing in 1 ft and 2 ft lengths. It comes in increments of about 1/16" diameter, and they nest inside of one another. I use these for staging primers in my Dillon presses when reloading pistol ammo, which I tend to process in large quantity.

Here is a link to the manufacturer

Here is their list of retailers.

A couple guys mentioned the auto parts store. That's what we've been doing for years. Steel fuel line can be had in various lengths. Get the size a bit longer than needed and trim it to the desired length.

M S C Industrial supply...…..in Pa.

The small bore silhouette guys all use aluminum arrow shafts with cotter pin for reloading the tube on their lever guns.
