my idea of golf,,balls hanging on a string at 100 yards using a 17 HMR,,heavy duty string,its a challenge,,for me anyway..

Many years ago I tried golf because of the prodding by a friend but I couldn't concentrate because I kept seeing groundhogs at the fringes of the tree lines along the fairways.
You could add an AR to your golf bag

There is little to any difference between Golf and Competitive Shooting , except maybe the paycheck if you are a successful Tour player . Don't know of to many pro shooters who make in the multiple millions , as Tour golfers do .
Both sports require extreme dedication , and endless hours of meticulous practice , training , and knowledge . Along with the best equipment money can buy , for both . If anyone thinks competitive shooting is easier than competitive golf , I can personally attest they are mistaken . I would actually rate them as nearly equal in difficulty .
Been there ; Done that , and got the empty bank account , airline ticket stubs , and T-shirts to prove it . And most high end rifle matches aren't televised , so the whole world can watch your collapse .

IMO, in professional golf or in the tournament shooting sports, only about 5% of the competitors in both sports are going to have the skills to consistently compete in the top 10%. The rest of us?.....keep rowing.

Golf balls are delivered by the manufacturer ready to play. No tipping or fireforming required. Often they are marked for identification prior to firing. that is all. If you're really good, the manufacturer may stamp your name on them. And you'll have a guy to clean your balls for you. --Jerry
Are all the top shooters (re) loading there own stuff? Or are some using stuff loaded by someone else? Just curious.
