how does the Wylde chamber compare to say the PPG match chamber? Is it good for long and short bullets?

The reason the 5.56 has a longer throat is to slow down the peak pressure and reduce bolt thrust on rifles used under combat conditions. (wet or oily chambers water in the bore etc.)
The Wylde chamber is a compromise so deciding what type shooting you will be doing and the degree of accuracy you want is the main factor in your chamber decision, along with deciding on the chrome chamber and bore.

My match reamer has .068" freebore, while the Wylde has .0619". All the 223 bbls I've done for my own use are 1:7.7tw or faster for use with 75-90gr bullets, and the match reamer's freebore works well with the heavier bullets.
I also used the match reamer on a 30" Palma bbl that's only going to be shot with 90s - took the freebore out another .080" with a throater so the 90s could be seated with the body/boattail junction right at the case's neck/shoulder junction.
