Some Things are Just Functional Works of Art

Oh my Jackie did Bart and Billy use those presses and dies in desert storm? There was equipment on the hwy of death leading out of Kuwait that looked like it was in better shape than those. I am so going to quite worrying about my stuff now.

I have an old Hood press similar ( very compact) to this type press. The one thing I did notice was it was pretty hard to FL resize 6 Dasher brass, as compared to other presses I use. How is Matts press for resizing 6 Dasher brass? DJB

I do 6BRA and 6PPC. One is about as easy as the other, so dasher should be no problem.

I'm sizing 6.5x47 and a wildcat based on ADG 6.5 PRC magnum brass.
I wouldn't call it effortless, but it isn't a problem.
I haven't sized anything smaller, yet, for comparison though so my perspective is limited.

You may need a different die. It may be sizing too much taking extra effort

I have tried the Whidden FL in a Harrells single stage press, then the Hood. I then reset the die , and placed the die into the Forester co-ax, and found with the Co-ax it resized much easier. I am only pushing the Dasher shoulder back .002. With the Hood being so compact I thought I could set it up for sizing brass at the range. For now I am prepping my brass at home, before going to the range. DJB

I could say the same about your bullets!!
I get tickled seeing these stocks assembled into functioning works of art.
I'm fixin to raise the bar on my next project 20200824_163251.jpg
