Anyone else have this problem with the Aero Solus barrel nut?

Barrel nuts have a lip on the threads,
2:30 in the video explains the problem, I had the same problem. The factory Savage nut goes right on but, the Solus nut is tight after it starts threading a few threads, I could probably force it but why take the chance of ruining threads on the barrel. I tried on two factory Savage barrels and a Helix-6 prefit.

No, I have not. The barrel nut is tight as the tolerances are very close but it works as intended.

P.S. I still like the action. I'm hoping that they release the mag bolt head as a separate part. Currently they only list the standard 308 head as a separate part. I want to set this up as both a 6 BRA (which it currently is) and as a 6.5 PRC.

Anybody still having issues with origin shouldered barrels not headspacing correctly on the solus?

Bought a shouldered barrel that was cut from a preferred barrel blank for an origin. Headspaced correctly on an origin action but does not headspace on the solus

Because they are not the same headspace possibly? Did someone say they were the same?

There are a few action makers that I'd bet money on the headspace being what they say it is. Others not so much even though it is supposed to be the same (within specs). I'd be careful which actions I shipped prefit and chambered barrels for.

Why I like the THE NUT!!!! The nut is actually superior to the shouldered prefit in many ways. Seems like a lot of trouble to have a cosmetic shoulder.

I never believed that these actions have no tolerances.

I bought a shouldered Krieger that was chambered & fit for an Origin in 6 creedmore and it fit perfectly and shoots well.
