Soft Rifle Cases - For BIG rifles.

Is that (58") the actual internal dimension?

58 inches long and the part of the case that accommodates the scope extends forward and allows me to leave my sun shade on. Well padded case and even has a small diameter tube on the bottom to carry a cleaning rod. I like mine so much that I bought a second one.

Looking to possibly clear out a couple hard rifle cases to replace them with some quality SOFT cases. I have always used hard cases,Starlight, Storm, Doskocil), but want something less cumbersome for some purposes. Easier for travel, transport and storage...for match rifles. Of course, hard cases will still be used when necessary,airline etc.)

They need to house a 1000 Yard rifle,17lb) with a big scope on it.

What are people using,and recommend or NOT recommend) in this realm?

Jim Hardy - pretty sure you were recommending a soft case awhile back and they were reasonably priced and semi-custom?

I have the Creedmoor Blue Deluxe 55. It is a nice case. I bought it to eliminate a hard case. Works perfect.
