Very nice new LONG rifle soft case from 'Allen'

Thanks Buddy "
I like Murdoch's it's a great store"
In fact I almost bought a Cowboy hat in Missoula last June, I tried a couple on and kept asking the little wife her opinion, all she said was I looked ridiculous!:(

SPJ...they don't think you look quite so "ridiculous" if you just had on the cowboy hat with a thong bikini and the boots and spurs...and a gunbelt that has a feather duster instead of a gun....she'd have liked that and probably bought you two hats!!!!! Just don't post any selfies on here.......I wear that same getup to Mexico. My two girlfriends beat me senseless.

back to reality: I may have to haul my Shiloh Sharps .45-100 over to the Cabela's in Boise tomorrow morning to see if it will fit. 32" barrel, and it has the 23" MVA A-Variant scope on it.

Height with scope is not an issue for that case. It is plenty tall for what you need. Look at the pictures of my rifle on the first page. That's a 31" barrel with a 3"+ muzzle break so you could call it a 34" barrel. Your 32" barrel is actually shorter than mine. The scope in the pic has tall turrets and a high scope mount. Easy to see in the pics that there is still tons of room to spare on height. Your Sharps action wont be as long as my Lapua size Defiance Deviant bolt action either. Basically, as long as your rifle isn't longer than 54", you shouldn't have an issues.

I've used Allen cases for the last 6-8 years for a variety of rifles - everything from my smallbore silhouette to 28" barrelled rifles - and had had zero issues. Mine are an older style with zippered pockets and have provided good protection. I've even put my rifle in one before putting it into a hard case when shipping. That way I have something manageable upon arrival at my destination. My grandson bought one of the camo versions recently, although I don't remember what he paid.

That's what a good range bag is for
There are a ton of good cases with NO gear pouches in the outside of them. Allen even makes a bunch. I own a few that I use to put inside my ATV gun boot for added protection. When I go on hunt trips, I like the gear pouches on the cases because everything for the gun that's in the case goes in those pouches. Sling, ammo, magazines, cleaning kit, oil/dry rags etc. Plus it eliminates the need for another bag for those items.
