So what are you all doing with CCI

I was using CCI mini mags and now using the 40 gr Blazers for bowling pin league. I haven't noticed any difference in the two other than the Blazers are cheaper. They both have the same 1235 fps velocity. Also helped cure any ejection problems in my semi auto pistol and rifle. I won't use any low velocity ammo for bowling pin league. Those pins get awful heavy as they slowly get filled with lead.

I use CCI-SV for practice in my T1X....does ok at times for the price, use it in my Buckmark too.

I don’t use it at all. It’s never done anything accuracy wise that was better than the brands I use and it always seems to cost a little more. I even fell for the Pistol Match and Green Tag scam. That’s good for you guys because it leaves more for you guys right?

However I bought a brick of CCI last year when I first started. What are you all doing with your CCI, are you using it for plinking, training or what.?

I've gotten completely away from CCI 22 ammo.
Was good some time ago, not so much now.
Use Fed Champion AutoMatch for practice.
Use RWS Rifle Match for silhouette matches.

Rimfire Steel Challenge! Our range has monthly "matches." In quotes because while it's scored, nobody really cares.
Exactly! I belong to a club that has pretty regular "beer can" matches..,steel plates on a stand we shoot offhand up closer and sandbag front rest only for 40 yds. Most anything will work at these ranges.I generally use an old Rem 581T with a 4X redfield made to go on grooved rimfire actions.

I havent been shooting 22lr long, However it didnt take long to figure out that CCI was not going to cut it in the competition world., I think its called la palma, the competitions we shoot at my club. 50 meters then move to 100 yards shoot a few cards then come back to 50.

When CCI can make some actual match grade ammo, I'll think about buying some. Never had any shoot better than the average bulk stuff

SVs are my pistol rounds (I don't shoot well enough to see the difference freehand), subsonic stuff for quiet uses, and on-sale stuff (any brand) for plinking and supporting kids events.

Green Tag actually shot worse than SV in my CZ 455.
I have a lot of CCI SV that I got for my son when he was shooting SASP. I use it kind of as a baseline. IME, how it performs in a gun tells me whether to start testing different ammo, or relegate the gun to being in the "Fun Gun" category. I have twice bought Green Tag, and twice felt he same way. In all the guns I have tried, it was similar to or worse than SV. <Shrug>

IMO... As long as you have reasonable expectations CCI Standard is the best deal going. After the next election goes blue (perish the thought) CCI Standard will be like hoarded silver dollars... You'll wish you have a bunch more.

I use CCI SV for informal pistol matches. Works quite well. A lot of folks do use it for pistol. Even guys shooting Pardini's and Model 41's. Would not use it in rifle matches but do use it for plinking in rifles.

As long as guys keep buying CCI junk they will keep making it. Stop buying it and they will sit up and take notice and perhaps come out with some REAL target ammunition. I like to think they could make a decent line of target ammunition, they just don't want to living in Fat City.

CCI doesnt even get a glance from me. I scan the shelves for the SK brand. My 10/22 absolutely loves SK and not much else. It shoots little dots @50 yds with it, but CCI never a good group. Not even the random small 5 shot group. Its no better than Federal Auto Match
