Bench Rest Shooting IBS .22 Yard Target

I am shooting a CZ 457 Varmint MTR with a Weaver Classic V 4-16X scope and using CCI .22lr SV.

It is sighted in at 50 yards and very accurate however for some reason I will start shooting in the 2 o'clock area on IBS Rimfire 50 yard targets a couple times then back to the ten ring the next shot.

Am I doing something wrong squeezing the trigger or what, there was a slight breeze from left to right.

Any and all advice is greatly apricated.

I had/have the same problem with an Anschutz 1416 .22lr. I had forgotten benchrest techniques. So I watched some Speedy Gonzales videos and articles. https://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/tag/speedy-gonzalez/

For me. I made sure my rest was aligned with the front bag. Tightened the rest before shooting. Kept my cheek off the stock and did not grip the wrist of the stock, applied Johnson's Baby Powder to the rest and rear bag, and let the rifle free recoil. I lost the fliers and double groups and my groups shrunk by over 60%.

I'll try that, thanks.
