Your smith should be able to duplicate the barrel tenon off the old barrel.

I finally made it to Williamsport. What a great bunch of shooters! I learned quite a bit. I am thinking about taking my factory Savage 12 F class up next weekend to shoot. I don't think I have enough adjustment on my Nightforce 12x42 Benchrest scope to get on target there. How much more drop would I have going from 600 yard to 1000 yard.

Most guns have 25 to 30 minutes of drop from a 100 yard zero. Depending upon the reticle you can use a lower aim point. You just can't change power after you sight in with the lower aiming point. Matt
