Smallest 100yrd 5 shot group

Factory cz 457 mtr 22match while playing with different ammo brands and spending time shooting cheap groups.
Rws 50 is what's in this group
50 yards prone, bixpod and rear squeeze bag, athlon midas tac 5-25x56

Hope 22lr at 50 yards is nearly applicable

All are 3 shot groups.
This is my best single 3 shot groups and my best 3x5
Kauger BR2 action.
30BR Krieger barrel chambered by Alex Wheeler.
Arken 6-24x50 SH4 scope.
Hottenstien 112s

Edit: I use ballistic X to measure my groups. The .024 group was shot during load development. I shot that load for another 5 groups and couldn't get it to replicate. Currently running the 112 hottenstien with Lapua brass .332 neck, and 34.7gr of N130. Most accurate rifle I own by a landslide.

Can you provide a link for those Hottenstein 112's
I just tried finding them and the only place I seen them is Bulletcentral
In 105' & 108's ...(out of stock though) did not see 112's
And have you compared them to 115 Dtacs?
That is quite impressive consistency!

When I first went to a thousand yard event I was hoping to just get on paper. My first three shots knotted up and then a 2:00 w caught me.
Oh well

Thank you! I got his contact information from his facebook page. I just sent him an email. The only reason I shot them first is because they were available first. If nothing has changed, he still makes his bullets on a 1in jacket and they are great in my 17 twist. They are more expensive than anyone else from what I have found. Think I paid $550 per 1,000.

I must admit I thought you were using a 6mm of some sort
Nonetheless, I will try his bullets

I can do that too... if I take one shot on paper and the rest in the dirt!
Pretty sure making a single bullet go through the paper .009 larger than the diameter of the actual bullet isn't possible unless it's unstable. If the bullet was unstable, that would be visible in the way the paper tears. Either way it was range measured by 3 different people and they certified it as a record for the club. There was no big award or large payout for this accomplishment, so 2 shots or 5 is something that can't be determined without moving backers. If the club recognized it as a record, who am I to disagree?

I'm not doubting the veracity of your post. I'm just saying the only way I could do that is with a single shot on paper. Just making a joke.

Haven't shot 100yds in many years but when I did I had a factory Savage 12 br in 6br. (When we could still get Wolf primers.)20250223_203758.jpg

260AI at 200yds. ( shot prone in the bed of my pickup, lol.

My best 100 yd group at a registered match was .080. My best group with a LV weight 308 Winchester was a .108 (that was an exceptional 308, but like most 308's, it was tough to shoot well. recoil was definitely an issue). There is no question, my best groups were always four shot groups! Friends often asked if was wearing a choke collar, as there could be no other explanation for all my errant fifth shots. WH

We call those errant shots Grimle's. One of the guys we shoot with will put 4 in a 1/4" with most anything he shoots, but somewhere in that 5 shot group he will most likely have one that opens it up to 3/4-1 inch. We give him so much razzing every time.
