Re: Site Needs .243/.243AI Loads & Comments

Anyone shooting 115 DTAC in 243 or 243AI?

Yes 243win 7.5tw 29" Broughton with 115s (ole or new) with either 40.02gr of Hybrid 100v or 45.02 of RL25.

3030 for Hybrid 100v
3080 for RL 25

These are in a long throated rifle setup specifically for the DTACs. An Ackley Version happens to be this Summers project, hope for 3150+.

Experiencing similar w/ RL26 w/ a 'top end' load.
50g. w/ 105 Berger
Fed 215
Win brass
30" Brux bbl
3440FPS, that is w/ 30rds over the chronograph
I got first pressure signs at 3400fps with 105rdf bullet 48gr RL26 in a standard 243 30" 7 twist tube 47gr yields 3300+Or -
I'm having accuracy issues but there are a lot of things otherwise that can cause it

Imr 4166

Low node at 42.5 grains

Try your load with 210m primers. I have a feeling it will make the groups much smaller.

215M primers

115 Berger's

.243 Win., Tikka T3 Stainless Lite, 22.4" bbl W/ 1-10 twist, YoDave Trigger spring set @ 1 1/4 pounds,..
80 grain Sierra Blitz #1515 Bullet,.. COAL 2.630
CCI #200 primer, Rem case
Start at, 42.0 grains work up to, 42.7 of, IMR 4350 what ever "YOUR" Gun likes ! (est velocity- 3,000-3,100 ish) Personally don't care about, the Velocity as, this Load is Accurate,.. I shot several 3 shot "Clover leaf's" up to, sub 1/2 MOA groups, w/ 5 shots @100 yds in MY Tikka. I will settle on, 42.3 grains of IMR 4350 for Varmints.
This load, was inspired by, K-22,..see post #77 He deserves,.. the "credit" for this one !
