Single shot sleds, how to hold them in place without epoxy?

I have a Savage target action that is open bottom for a blind mag in the factory laminated stock. I want to use a single shot sled for this rifle so what is the best way to keep the sled tight against the bottom of the action? I do not want to epoxy it. I thought about using a flat mag spring or some kind of filler for the mag well that would hold the sled.

That does help,
I have a Fred Sled from SSS that clicks into place and doesn’t move.
$20 ish

Bob Sleds come in different action sizes, bought my last one from Creedmoor Sports. They click in and you drop them with the mag release. I think 700 SA and 700 LA won’t be hard to find. I also have one in 338 LM gonna be harder to find one of those.

Just use a couple small drops of epoxy. I mean, its steel, not like the epoxy is going damage the action or anything, you don't need much at all. Get a tight fit by wedging a piece of solid copper wire in there, too.

Use the follower that came with the rifle. It will hold the single shot follower up against the reciever.
