I am having a bit of trouble with a retailer in the US.
I placed an order recently with Sinclair's, and had it completely stuffed up.
No drama there, these things happen.
But what really got me pissed, it didn't matter how many emails I wrote, or who I wrote them to, I received no reply
In the end, I wrote a paper letter to the head of sales, with my emails attached in an effort to get a reply.
Has anyone else had this trouble ?
Is Sinclair's still trading ? >:(
 
I've experienced the exact opposite on several occassions. I always got prompt replies and quite pleasant soluions. Have you tried a simple phone call? I'm sure they will fix your issue ASAP.

Maybe your emails aren't getting there? Maybe their replies are heading to your spam box?
 
Always had positive experiences with Sinclair's and I am in Australia also. I will try to find the email address of Kerry their international sales manager. She will sort it out for you.

I have used Sinclairs for many years now and just ring them up and all calls are answered very promptly. Always got a friendly voice and any gear I order is usually despatched within a day or so, so I suggest that you ring them up to place the order.

Now that Sinclair and Brownells are combined I always call the Brownells number to place an order or resolve an issue. The folks at Brownells seem to have a better computer system and seem to be able to sort things out a little better/faster. Brian Brown.
 
I have just had an issue with Sinclair's recently as well; I too am waiting for a reply. I hope they are not headed down the same road as so many other companies here is the US. I have done many, many, orders with them, and I have never had what happened in this order before.

I will give them a little while before divulging what issues I have had, and actions they have taken. I hope they will fix your and my issues promptly.

I`ve made many trips to Ft.Wayne over the years, and I always paid alot for the privlage of excellant service, but have not ordered from them since Brownell`s bought them and moved them out of Ft. Wayne. I have no idea of how their service is now, but it used to be great.
 
Sinclair's still doing business... I just got confirmation of an order I placed late last Saturday evening.

I admit though I'm reluctant to do business with them anymore after the Brownell's buyout. Prices are higher, shipping times for in-stock items are a day or more longer. Website's a little easier to use but that's not much of a plus with the other minuses.

Used to be I could pick up the phone & speak to a human who knew what I was talking about whether on a product question or problem with an order. Now I don't bother as I deal with them so seldom, maybe twice a year if that.

Sinclair's is my favorite company to deal with, Midway is second!

I have NEVER had any kind of issue. I just recieved my order today! Very promptly as in the past.

Maybe the Christmas season might have them a little busy, just a guess!

They are the best in my experience!

I'II give Kerry an email, the phone call thing just won't work ...... unless I get up at 2.00 am in the morning, and only Foxes receive that type commitment to service, in my world.
Checked my spam box, even sent myself an external email, both in and out, everything except checking under the bed.
I must say, in this last 10 years of dealing with Sinclair's I have had nothing but great service .... this may be why these little indiscretions came as such a shock.

I wouldn't say I'm having trouble reaching someone unless I'd already tried a simple phone call.
Especially someone with whom I've done business for 10 years.

Set your alarm.............pretend you're hunting.

Glad to hear this! They are a good company! I can't imagine what type of issue you are running into with them, but I do know they will make it good.
 
Can not remember ever having a problem with Sinclair. Even after Fred sold out to Brownells I have always had knowledgeable, friendly folks to take phone orders. They have a great line of tools and sell quality equipment as well.
