Sinclair Comp Rest Base Plates - Pre-Order Live

Understood. But may I ask, is the spacing of the front left auxiliary hole locations critical? Can you set it up so that 1 (don't care which) of the 3 front left leg positions does center up the rear leg?

Yes. We'll do it. This is one of the additional tweaks that I mentioned above. It will be accomplished by a second speed screw hole that maintains the factory spacing between the speed screw and windage knob (rather than shortening it). Customers will have the option on where to run it - be it personal preference, hand size, whatever. Sharp crowd, making me divulge all of my tricks...

Just released for production. Thanks for everyone's patience. Sketch of final design attached. We'll be closing the pre-order very soon. Still shooting for late March ship dates.

Thanks for the pic, @mikecockcroft It should be captioned, "Here's Travis pondering where to aim on the first shot so he doesn't miss the sighter plate"

Pre-order ends tonight. I've added 50% to the curent pre-order count for the production run, so there will be more available, but you'll pay a little more starting tomorrow.

Thanks Everyone!

Thanks for the update. Did you decide on a color for the powdercoat?

They’ve been laser cut and are waiting in line to be machined. Should be off to powder coat within a week.

Hey Travis, finally got to use the original (1st rendition) proto-type base today. The relocation of the rear screw is genius and the weight distribution didn't seem to be a problem but the final design is going to be even better (and prettier). Seriously the guys (and girls) are going to love them. I'll be using it at a 600yd match Sat. If we don't get rained out. Can't wait for my new ones. Thanks, Barry.

Oh yeah, anyone with a Sinc. rest who doesn't have one of Travis's wrench should get one. You don't know what you're missing. Clean up the rough edges with a dremel and it's a jewel.

Oh one more thing, when I shoot my non-drop-port 6br I put my shadetree top on my Sinc. rest. With the offset rear screw it REALLY works nice. Makes a great hand rest and is out of the way of the joystick. A real nice set-up with a little extra windage. @butchlambert needs one of these. Kicks the Farleys butt. Barry.

I was off today, but I fully expect that they have all been machined and should go to powder coat tomorrow or Wednesday.

Nice. I use a Shadetree on my Sinclair occasionally, myself. I ordered an extra foot and machined it off so the joystick would clear. Nice to hear that swapping feet won’t be necessary any longer with the offset speed screw.

At powder coat. Looks like we'll have about 15 units extra. Tell your friends, so I don't take a bath on these!
