"Simply Green" to clean Imperial Case lubed Cases ??

I rinse the cases with 99% isoproypyl alcohol and drain.
They dry in less than 15 minutes clean and ready to prime.

Or use denatured achohol.

I shouldn't state this, but I use Imperial. I have worked with all types of solvents in my life time. I usually wipe off as much of the wax I can with a cleaning rag. Then I "soak" the brass in lacquer thinner for about 1 hour, agitating every 15 minutes. Works great, "VERY FLAMMABLE", and I don't recommend anyone else using this product.

Then I use a mixture of Simple Green and Lemi Shine in my ultrasonic cleaner to finish it off. I let it air dry two days after rinsing with cool water. To go this route, the brass has to be pretty dirty, plus I used a lot of Imperial during sizing.

JMO, if you do try it, DO SO IN AN OPEN AREA, WELL VENTED.

I am only using my Forster neck sizing and shoulder bump die so all I need is to put a little Imperial on my necks, then run it thru the die. I use my finger to apply the Imperial and wipe it off with a rag. I tumble with corncob before I resize the neck and bump the shoulder. I notice I have left a little Imperial in a few case necks when kernals of Vatget stick to the inside of my necks. I just go ahead and seat the bullet and it pushes the powder into the case. It doesn't seem to affect accuracy.

Why not just use cloth and a little rubbing alcohol? I just roll about ten cases across a cloth and I'm done.

That's what I do. Rubbing alcohol or Brake clean. Never had a problem with either. But I only load 50 rounds at a time. Any more than that might be a pain.

Lately I've settled on simply using automatic dishwash detergent. I do it on the stove top in a stainless pot at boiling temp, stir with a plastic spoon.

How much detergent in how much water?

After soaking some 500 pieces or more of brass in a Simple Green solution I am glad not to have a septic tank for disposal for the leavings.

Simple Green is (or used to be) sold full strength, but they advise diluting it for most applications (except heavy duty, like cleaning an old car engine.) I would think diluted is appropriate for something like soaking brass.

I use one part in seven parts water and tumble for two hours. I have tried a weaker solution and can hardly tell the difference.
