Sierra Game Changers?

Like the Doctor says,.. NPart's, AccuBonds, GK's, Horn InterBonds, Interlock's,.. all "WORK" for less than, "perfect" shots !
"Match type", bullets, NOT so much, WHEN,.. BONE gets hit,.. "POOF" BLOOD SHOT meat and copper/lead,.. FRAGMENTS ! But, then again, MY Family likes, to EAT our, Deer, ELK and Antelope meat, WITHOUT all, the ADDED,.."KRAP" in it !

JimT, I tested Berger bullets in my 6.5/.284 XP over 2 years to get sufficient data. I took around 30 deer with them. As with the ELDXs, they are very accurate, but also like the ELDXs, they don't perform on angled shots. Broadside, yes. Very fragile, large internal damage, quick kills. Angled shots-poor penetration, usually only one lung penetrated resulting in very long tracking and even lost deer near thick woods and swampy terrain. I don't use them any more. If a bullet won't perform on all types of shot I don't use it. It's ABs, NPT, Horn. GMX, Sierra Game King, Xs. On all my important hunts for non dangerous game it's 95% ABs, 5% Xs, NPTs.+
Muleman, my squirrel gun is a Ruger MKIII, turkey gun FA .454 Casull( 36 one shot kills with a bullet that does minimal damage), groundhog gun- over 1000 kills with .223 Contender, .22-250 XP, .250 Sav. AI XP, .454 Casull. Deer and big game- all the JDJ Contender calibers, most of the JDJ Encore calibers, .325 WSM XP, .375/.284 XP, .376 Steyr, .416 Taylor. All are handguns. I don't own any rifles. Never saw a need.
All due respect as I admire your kill numbers and personal research but pistol performance and rifle performance are not the same. Rifles run bullets at much higher velocities and energy's. If all impact velocities we're compatible, I'd agree that this is conclusive.
For every guy that has an experience with any bullet performing poorly, there are dozens that had the exact opposite experience with the same shot. All we can do is express our personal experience with bullets. I read all the stories but many don't mimic my experiences with the same bullets. Many do.

I was going to use the Hornady 6.5mm 130 grain SSTs last fall, but some others said that they were unnecessarily destructive so I opted out of those for the Hornady 129 grain interlocks. I stumbled upon the TGKs about a week before it was time to go and decided to give em a try.
Do yourself a favor and find out for yourself whether the SSTs work or not. They may be the best bullet you have ever used in game. It's fine to read the stories but another to do the field work. Not all experiences are identical. I kill dozens of deer with match type bullets and 99% are great performance stories. If I listened to all the match bullet haters stories, I'd have never tried them on LR game animals. With so many great bullets I use for game, I doubt I'll ever get to the game changers.

Any bullet that kills like the critter was dead before it hit the ground could be the best bullet I've ever used. Unfortunately the opportunity for me to try to use a wide variety of bullets is limited by the number of licenses that I could purchase. Can't use centerfire rifle cartridges here unless they are straight wall case type. I suppose I could buy as many antelope tags as Wyoming would let me, but that runs into a lot of money.

ETA: If I can plan my last hurrah in Wyoming, I'll probably buy as many tags as I legally can.

WVHitman is a retired MD and has shot over 2400 deer on crop damage permits in WV. He debones every deer and the meat is given to the needy. Several years he’s shot over 100 deer in a year!

If I'm temporarily unemployed in WA, do I qualify as needy in WV?
