308 powders for 125 grain bullets

Always have loaded 150-200 gr bullets, varget,r15, imr-4064 have treated me well. I got some 125 Sierra game changers so that my wife can use the rifle. I’m having a hard time getting them to group I suspect I need a faster powder. Just looking to see what anyone has had good luck with for a starting point.

IMO the powders you mentioned should be good for the 125's. I'd add H4895 and IMR 8208 XBR to the list. I think you'd give up velocity with a faster powder than these, but it could steer you away from a compressed load.

I'd suggest Win 748 & VV-N135. It gives stellar results as well with the Nosler 125 gr. B T & A B in my rifle.

My vote would be for W748 with the 125 bullets in 308, top load is fast and accurate, easily loaded in a progressive press...but there are many choices that work well.

AR-Comp gets my vote but then I'm an AR-Comp fanboy. I have some 125's I might try working up in my 1:12 308. I love to experiment. 45gr at 2.75 COL (Jam) looks promising on QL, in my 29" Palma rig.
