Shooting stool

At our 1000 yard br events I see the bigger guys using the ‘roc um’ spin adjustable at $200 ish, I use a $100 Yamaha drummers throne.
I really don’t see the Sinclair type beyond the local short range stuff. I wouldn’t opt for plastic anyway but that’s just me.

Bart carries one that has to be 15yrs old- and hes not easy on it. Nobody shoots more rounds per year than he does. Ive went thru a few drummer thrones but his sinclair is still going strong. The 5 leg base is way more sturdy than a 3leg throne and its about half as heavy.

An old Remington Rand steel stool from the 1930s might work well. Don't see many of these around much, anymore.

I use a drummers throne from amazon, it was on sale for $139, plenty sturdy and with 3 legs it is impossible for it to rock.

Three legs are great if you get so where with un even floors as they don't rock like something with more legs. If your a heavier guy a threaded adjustment is less spongy than the hydraulic style.

++ Sinclair International Shooting Stool. Haven't added wheels. Added plus, you can let your grandkids "spin" themselves silly. At the range, very comfortable and adjusts as needed.

5 legs requires the surface the stool is on to be properly flat. This thing is rock solid. Adjustments requires unscrewing the post screw but I don't find that a hassle.

Yeah these are great, Jeff
Super quick fine tuning height, just lean fwd and reach under, to spin the adjuster for perfect mount, on any bench or rig.
Very stable too, and wont sag.

I use a simple inexpensive folding chair with a foam boat cushion, about 35 bucks, works good for me, I can lean back and a comfortable place to sit for for lunch.

If your looking at drummers thrones, some of them have optional backrests as well.
