Shooting Chrony prices: used

I have a pro tach that's almost 30 years old. used the heck out of it. very simple to use and consistent.
I wanted something better, and got the crony master beta with the printer and all the extra's. struggled with it every time i used it, got different readings, i believe there just to short. then i got an ohler, takes about the same time to set up, and works much better. I've tried to sell the crony, couldn't get $50 for it and it was over $200 new. I use the bag for something else and the rest is in a box in the garage. never did figure out what i could use the printer for. Then the garmin came along, how nice! next spring i want to set up the ohler and the garmin to compare. I have seen lots of tests with the lab radar and magno speed, but not the ohler.

Explain please
Here's a pic:

You will probably need to set the unit to the highest sensitivity. Tweek the wand clearance up/down. If not enough clearance, those heavy little magnets can fly quite a ways. Not that I would know.. You may also need to move the wand in/out from the muzzle. You can add additional magnets, if required. Write down the settings for that particular gun.
The magnets are available from Amazon, eBay, etc. Mike

That looks vastly different than my Shooting Chrony.

Oh crap, brain fart. Yes, the current shoot over chrony I am now using and as pictured is a Caldwell. Open mouth, insert foot.:(. The Shooting Chronies I had did the same job, Kinda forgot I bought the Caldwell.

I see. So I guess the antimony doping in the pellets, being weakly diamagnetic, is enough to be detected if you both boost the field and turn up the detector gain...

The premium pellet manufacturers often crow about the lead purity. Have you seen your setup detect some but not others of the same weight?

I pretty much only shoot JSB diabolo pellets. From 13.43gr to 33.89gr. Lead is classified as a diamagnetic material as is antimony. Together they must supply the necessary FM factor. (freaking magic)
