Shooting 180-200 gr bullets in a 9" twist 300 WM

I am about to install a Bartlein 5R 9" twist barrel on my Savage LRH 300 Win Mag. I will generally shoot 212-225 gr bullets and I know I can go heavier but may want to go lighter at some point.

My question is; are there any issues shooting lighter bullets in the 180-200 gr range in a 9" twist barrel? Will accuracy or velocity fall off?

I’ve shot 180-215gr bullets in my 9 twist Bartlein 308 Norma Magnum with great accuracy and no issues.

I had a 300 Win mag with a 10 twist and I liked to shoot 185 Berger VLD's, this was back in the 90's. It shot great, but I would blow up the Berger every now and then.

Yes, LRH is Long Range Hunter. Mine is an older version and doesn't have the Accufit stock. It does have an Accustock with full aluminum bedding rail and adjustable cheek rest. I really like it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, makes me feel belter about shooting lighter bullets!
