Shooters World: Lay it on me!

Hi Folks!

We're the new kids on the block, and we know it. For those of you who've found value in Shooters World propellants, we sure appreciate you being an early adapter. But there are other folks who have not found the necessary loading information to assist them in understanding the capability and value of these powders.

I'm the Ballistician. I've got my work cut out for me, and I know it. Day in, and day out, it's calibrating brass, making test barrels, keeping the gauges in good shape, cleaning guns, and running the lab.

We have launched a number of powders in short order. And that has called for more attention to launching new powders, than it has to filling in the holes with our existing data.

Time has come to head back into our data sets and further support new and existing cartridges with our current propellant offerings.

I'd sure like to hear the thoughts of this community regarding where we need to concentrate our efforts.

Best regards,

Ken Johnson

Yes, like Tim says, I would like more info on where to obtain the product and info especially for people like me who don't have a computer because of lack of network accessibilities. I am always interested in trying new powders....

I recently bought 4 pounds on a deal from Midsouth, all of them on the faster side for 308 and 223. I have yet to use it. I'll be watching this.

Temp stability in small stick powders are the only ones that interest me anymore. Repeatable burn rate from jug to jug ranks up there too.

Edit: added,
How's about posting up a short video highlighting your products? Perhaps share some of your testing results and include some real world people with real bench reviews?

I would think data for 6.5 medium capacity cartridges along with .308 loads all with the heavy for caliber bullets would be a good place to start.
Will add have used 11 lbs of thr Match Rifle in .308 with excellent results

Just one simple request. Work up and publish some 6XC data. I bet if you start testing semi-popular calibers that target/varmint shooters commonly use you guys will be in the thick of things.

Do you have some data from temperature sensitivity testing you could share.

Many competitive shooters would welcome new powder options that demonstrate low response to wide ranges of temperature.

So62 in .308 Palma loads ? The Pressure Rateing is over 60,000 ?
I ran 46.5 gr. And could not get the Volocity I get with less Varget ?
The Pressure signs on my Primers made me stop testing .
I will give it a try with 185 gr. Bullets in different.308 .

A suggestion I have is publish more load data on precision powder for 223 using lighter projectiles such as 40gn 53gn and 55gn.

If this is your most temperature stable powder for this cartridge it will become the most popular immediately if it is accurate with a higher load density than Varget.

A published temp stability test may be the strongest data for sales

You have a tall order to fill of trying to complete with Varget.

I would like to see a clean powder halfway between H4895 and Varget with extremely high temperature stability.

I have your powders and will be testing soon. The hazmat discounts thru midsouth is what prompted me to purchase along with the lower price point and the shot report articles.
