Was talking with them on the phone yesterday about something else. Asked the rep about the brass.

Shiraz; any update on Norma 6Dasher Brass?

You can't go off the reps they have. I ordered a March and called them to see how far out it would be and the lady I talked to didn't even know what a scope was. She also told me it wouldn't ship till mid to late November and it was delivered 2 days ago.
Im also wanting to know about the brass but rather hear it come from Shiraz.

Talked briefly with Shiraz at Ben Avery last week. He didnt give me a date but said they were working hard on the project. I have my fingers crossed and hope it's soon.
What advantages will the norma have over lapua brass?

Just be thankful he is helping us get it. Be patient and when it gets here it gets here.
With import restrictions at an all time high this does not surprise me it is taking longer than he first expected.

I heard rumor that Lapua was considering dasher brass. Possibly due to the Norma dasher brass. Like I said, just a rumor though.

Well, here's the latest.
I spoke with Norma in Sweden on Thursday and they have cleared one whole line to start on this project. The challenge has been doing a Ackley shoulder on a 6mm, but they are working through it and we should be seeing some results soon, as in a few months.
The project is not dead, but has been very slow to get off the ground. The fact that they also make cases for some other brands and the USA business has been red hot, has not allowed them time that they would have liked to spend on new projects. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

That sounds good and thank you for your work on making it happen. It's better for it to take awhile and be good than quick and not be right.

They are - give me a couple of days to get a good answer as they were to go back and get me some firm dates after meeting with the engineers again. They had to re-book their flights due to all the cancellations on the East Coast.
Had a real "heart to heart" with them at SHOT!
