Shiraz; any update on Norma 6Dasher Brass?

Someone asked what is a Basher Butt...after some research I found this
Basher Butt: A "Basher Butt" in the Engulish Diktionarry is a fallows.

A Person "or group of Persons Basher :BUTT'S: "plural" almost always from the Western most part on the United States. Thought to be almost extinct from 1981 to 1989 due mainly in part to the great economic times from the effects of Ronald Reagan. The basher butt made a THRIVING comeback in the State's of California and New York. The reason for the incredible surge in basher butt populations is still unknown at current time but scientist working tirelessly around the clock for TEN to Twelve hours a week "using tax dollars" have a hypothesis.....LIBERALS.....the genetic connection cannot quite be established at this time due to our current technology or lack thereof, the Scientist do warn that the Basher Butt does carry known diseases some of which can be contagious and to be cautious when approaching a "Known Basher Butt". They HATE and I mean HAATTTEEE the truth, do not attempt to reason or rationalize with a basher butt. They also HATE flash photography, this remains unknown as to the reason why but the Nations greatest Community College Scientist think it may be due to this. When awaken before 1000 in the morning the basher butt is EXTREMELY irritated. The basher butts eyes are very sensitive to light due to very long durations of unemployment therefore making the basher butts eyes sensitive to light, therefore despising flash photography.

On closing notes it has been found the basher butts have a great and unnatural love for cute and cuddly "Nauga". The Basher Butt will defend the Nauga at all cost due to the rising popularity in Naugahyde fashion.....The basher butt can be seen rioting in California and New York demanding the immediate release of every single innocent Nauga and for everyone to protest the slaughter of Nauga's for making Naugahyde......

THATS THE BASHER BUTT lol

Very Respectfully

Reality is, 1-box could be a lot, until it has proven out in my chambers and dies dimensionally..........Until then, I will hope with high expectations as well......

Per Shiraz, the case length will be 1.553". The casewall thickness was not known when he told me this in February.

I'm hoping they will be the same thickness as the Lapuas, that would make all of us with no-turn chambers very happy.

I'm not as concerned about the lengths, as the diameters at the base/web is what I'm more concerned about.
Current Norma brass that I have are 001 to 002" smaller then Lapua's at the base. Which take on a dominate pressure ring early and loose primer pockets (at least from my chambers, which are .4708" at the base).

I love that Shiraz is supplying us with great Norma dasher brass. However with that said, ill sit tight until I hear some reports from solid shooters. Just in case we need to spec out our chamber reamers a little different. If I were a betting man, id bet we will be just fine though!! Lee

I just got this answer from Bullets.com today when I asked if they knew when they were coming:

"Unfortunately we have no recent updates from Norma on the Dasher. The information we are currently working with is still that they expect to get it to us by late fall, but we don't have any precise dates on when it will arrive or when it will be available for preorder. Once we have some more concrete dates from Norma, we will post the brass on the website and begin taking preorders, there will likely posts about it on the major shooting forums as well."

When they beat my Dasher regularly, I will. ;)

/small primers/more pressure, less powder, .60cent bullets and no recoil. Dasher, baby!

yea...i figured you'd say that. i guess that's why I got one now. ::)

I think everyone that doesn't have one would probably seriously consider chambering a barrel in one at minimum with all the accolades it has gotten over the years.
