Shipping to California

Yes, a barrel, complete upper i.e. AR style can legally be shipped in and too California.
Actions or lower units, must be shipped to a FFL and handled as such with DROS and Federal regulations.

The craziness is isolated in a few spots. 95% of california’s land is occupied by normal, good folks like carlsbad there.

Unfortunately, that 5% is densely populated (LA, SF, and a few coastal fairylands). I'm afraid it's getting worse as the good people leave. I should join them but right now things are very positive in my job.

You likely have always paid for paper grocery bags, the cost was just hidden in the transaction.
Ben
Granted, this B.S. was put on us by our not so good governor. Stores dont get the nickle a bag they are charging either. It all goes to the state.
Everyone in Oregon knows that all the money is headed to Eugene, Salem, Portland.

I haven't asked why but every time I order a drink I still get a plastic straw. Maybe the law is on hold.

I believe it is one of the laws the dummies in Sacramento and Newsom's fold passed, but have no way for any LE to take time out, from serious crime and enforce the strict plastic straw ban.

Maybe that will be the deal with the lead ban...just spoke to a shooting buddy who is a lawyer...he isn't optimistic. However, if the NRA and CRPA can tie it up in the courts for 3 years I may just be able to eject by then.

Damn, I always have to ask for a straw.
Bastards are charging us for grocery bags now!

The plastic straw ban roll out was so poorly planned and executed (nobody took the time to ask if there were enough compostable straws in the entire supply system before requiring them) that the state allows businesses to pay a small fine to continue using regular straws.

At our local Peets Coffee, I was informed that they prefer to keep the straws behind the counter and only provide them as truly required in an effort to be more "environmentally aware."

I've used the cardboard straws a couple times and never made it through my meal without the straw breaking down.

Here's some irony.
I went to recycle some plastic jugs I'd been saving for a while last year.
Recycle center wouldn't take anything that wasn't clear plastic water bottle or a milk jug.
China wouldn't except them. WTF!
They tell us to be consensus about the environment, pass laws that quite frankly are a PITA.
Straw and plastic grocery bag bans are a bunch of B.S., the stuff is headed to the landfill.
On a lighter note.
We went out for Chinese the other nite where there were a couple signs posted to bring your own bag as they can no longer provide them.
When they brought our boxes, they also brought us a bag.
I love thier nonconformist attitude.
