Shipping Rifle Cartridges UPS or FedEx

I understand there are Hazmat Fees associated with shipping primers and gun powder. Still unsure if I can ship loaded rifle cartridges using UPS or FedEx. There seems to be no easy answer online.

I would call the 800 numbers and get an answer.
Or call a UPS store, Fed-Ex shipping outlet.
They like to change the rules a lot.
Now that UPS has closed most of it's customer counters, you need
to ship through a UPS store and they are EXPENSIVE.
Ammo used to be listed as a ORM (other regulated material)
Not as regulated as a Hazardous Material. (easier to ship)

It gets a limited quantity diamond sticker. Personally, I'd put a sticker and pre paid label on it and drop it off, make sure it doesn't rattle in the box.

Open a UPS Account Print the Label print the Black Diamond Label. Pack it well Add labels.
Find UPS Store front . Go in put it on the Scale . That part is free
Don't under measure the Box and go over on weight. They do check at time and back charge you.

I shipped 35 rounds of 480 Ruger a few weeks ago to Michigan if I remember correctly.
Did everything on line with ups including the black and white diamond.
Total cost was just under 20.00 for one box of ammunition.
I won’t be shipping loaded ammunition again.
