Shipping Dispute

I've been lucky..especially with sales on this forum

Try to price it fairly...including shipping..which has really gone up lately

USPS flat rate boxes/envelopes are reasonable.....but if use your own box....

ship a $200 stock 2000 miles...easy $25...so calculate that into your pricing

Lowballers are everywhere........then not telling the truth when pkg is received ?

I use a LOT of bubble wrap and tape. I pack things so the gorillas won’t hurt it. I sent a gun off. The guy got it but whined that the magazine was missing. I told him to recheck the packaging. He went back to the ffl, they dug thru the trash and found it! The monkey at the ffl thought it was just a ball of bubble wrap!

I've had many calls from different people wanting to buy our home - not on the market - but in a great neighborhood where prices are quietly climbing. I've had 3 (my wife had 1) that began with something like "I know this is totally random" then "oh sh1t, I'm sorry, I almost hit a dog/cat" then they go into their pitch. I know it's a tactic to make one think they must be nice. I now just say "oh, I'm so glad you're okay" and hang up. It's a terrible thing that many people seem to have no scruples anymore.
“Grandpa? Is that you, Grandpa? This is your Grandson......(You’re supposed to answer something like “Jimmy, is that you, Jimmy?”) and the con begins! Yup! This is Jimmy. I’m in some trouble and I need some money fast!!

Thank You for being the honorable man that you are. There are still some of us left! Yeah, some people suck. Some groups seem to be more honorable than others. Farmers and competitive shooters seem to be at the top. Sadly dishonesty is creeping into those groups too.

I'm probably another thats too trusting. When I sell on the forums that I hang out on I regularly ship before receiving funds. No doubt I'll get burned someday.
On these forums of which I belong to three I have only sold items twice and both times shipped before receiving funds I have not been burned yet and hopefully never will like it said earlier most people here are honorable

I've never had a bad issue with buying or selling here. One thing I do is take pictures of what, how I pack stuff I've sold to insure both ends all items are packed so no one says parts are missing. I never ship before funds are received as well.

There are some on this board who feel they are entitled
to buy your ASNIB stuff for 1/2 price. If you sell to them
they will either use it and resell it later for profit, or post it on another board and sell it for a profit. When you get ready to post an item, look up at the vultures circling. LDS
Some people think they have gold , some folks sell stuff at what they deem is a fair price .

$2000.00? Get the $$$$ in hand before you even THINK about shipping.
$10.00, $15.00, $20.00 ? Ship it If you don't get your $$$, let everyone else know somebody needed the $$ more than you did.:(;)

Some people think they have gold ,

.....and "some people think they" should have the privilege of pricing your item!!! Just because a seller posted a price you think is high doesn't mean you're right!!! Let me walk into your domain and buy what I want for the price I am willing to pay. Deal? How about from now on whenever you post something for sale I will post an offer and we see how many times you accept it?

What do you mean by not on the market?

Guys, I am not really complaining about reducing the price. That is on me I had the right to refuse, and I really wanted the get rid of the item. I have received offers in the past and refused or made a counter offer. I have also offered reduced prices when buying something. I see nothing wrong with that, if both parties reach an agreement. But I have never gave my word on something and then backed out or tried to find an excuse to not do what I promised to do.

The reason for this thread, is to let the creep know that he did not really fool me. I want him to know that I am no fool.

I am the person the OP was referring to, and bad mouthing. I feel I need to take a stand against his accusations.

He listed a Ken Light Annealer which i made him an offer on, he did not accept my offer, and held firm at his listed, albeit lowered from $300, asking price of $275. I agreed that was still a good deal so I paid it. I received tracking within 48hrs from seller. We spoke on the telephone and he seemed alright, although somewhat scatterbrained since he couldn’t remember my name. At the same time he asked if I would send an additional $20 to help cover shipping costs as they were more than he estimated. I felt somewhat sympathetic to him so I agreed and said I would. I waited until the unit arrived as I had some inclination he was trying to get close to his original asking price out of me, without coming out and saying so.
Upon arrival of the package the annealer and spare wheel were in the box, but the two propane nozzles were not. I took photos of the contents and notified the seller of the missing pieces within minutes of opening the box. We spoke over the phone again, for some reason he kept calling me Robbie, not my name, and he said he was sure he included all the parts, but couldn’t find them at his house so he was sure they made it in. I offered to send pictures of the box and contents, which he declined and stated “you can get the nozzles from amazon for $13ea with free prime shipping”. We AGREED that I would purchase the nozzles and call it even instead of sending the additional shipping money to him. I went to home depot and purchased two nozzles for $14.97 each. Assembled everything, set it up, and made short work of 100 cases. Very nice unit, easy to use.

Today I recieve a link from seller to this thread. I cannot in good conscience stand by and let someone bad mouth me for their mistake.

Here is a picture of the receipt from home depot for the missing nozzles. If I had try to screw op out of a couple pieces would I have had to buy them again, no. He is at fault for not including all the pieces, and I will not be blamed for his shortcomings.

It’s disrespectful and pretty crappy we spoke, agree on a settlement, now he is back tracking and trying to make me look like I need to rip off an 83 year old for pocket change. Calling me a liar, thief, all that, it’s just chickenshit.
I’m a stand up guy, I live by the code treat others as you would have them treat you.
I’ve never had to rip anyone off to get the things I want. I wouldn’t start with him.

I can provide pictures of contents of package if needed. Can OP supply pics of all parts included in the package he sent me?

I might only have 12 feedback on AS, but they are all positive, on SH I also have 39 positive feedback with deals for guns and optics over $2k.
I do not need to be bad mouthed by anyone for paying fast, maintaining good comms, and doing everything I said I would.

Well it is Sad .
Went thru it , Post I’ll Take .
Sent part . Guy gets it , not right , sends it back .
I loose shipping cost of money order and stamp ?
How about all sales Finial ?

no big deal for $6.50 .

Don't ever offer to cover shipping!

I sold a Juenke machine once for $450 with price including shipping.
The guy who took the offer lived in Australia.
Ended up $450 to ship him this 3lb item!!
Talk about Karma..
I honored the deal of course,, and made nothing.
Was glad it did not cost me to sell it...

Lesson learned: for some reason, I was not supposed to sell it

This is the only question that matters.

Nick, do you have photos of the Ken Light Annealer with both heads and two nozzles in the box you shipped me?

I have pictures of what I received to back up my claims. Do you?

No you do not, bc you didn’t ship me the full setup as we agreed on.

Here is what I received, no where was there any bubble wrap as you claimed.

I am 83 years old but am very active do several miles a day on my treadmill and can sometimes forget somethings, but I have never forgot something I had a clear picture of in my mind. It's like instant replay. I see myself packing each piece and exactly where I put it in the box. If I didn't pack it, it would still be on my packing table in the basement.

Maybe you need some new glasses. Read the entire submission and then read it again. It is clear and specific. The meaning is I would never forget something I could recall a sight picture in my mind. Also I am 83 years old not 64.

Ok, I didn't read that you wrote "I searched my house for the missing pieces". I just forgot I didn't read it.
