SHIP My Gun Service Reports

If your one of the 3-4 guys on this forum that want to argue. GO find someone else to argue with. This service simply works period! I have shipped two rifles and one handgun this year, the handgun was $48 from AL to MI, one rifle to ARK. from AL. $39 and one rifle to WV from AL $41. if your one of the people who find it too hard to drive to a UPS corporate HUB or store, Then I guess you don't want to ship it too bad. Go to shipmygun.com and start an order it will ask, what is it rifle? handgun? then weight and size box then you put a zip code in and WA_LA a whole list of FFL's pops up and the distance they are from your zip. PICK one. if you know of one that is not on the list have them send a copy of their FFL in an email and they will put them on the list. pay your money and within hours or the next day BOOM! there is your shipping label. Take your box to a UPS corporate ship center and hand them the box, THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO WALK IN THE DOOR AND ANNOUNCE "hey everybody I'm shipping a gun" The clerk won't ask! UPS ALREADY KNOWS WHATS IN THE BOX! They don't want anyone else to know. 2-3 days later it is delivered with a signature.

I have shipped many long guns using shipmygun.com. HOWEVER that all changed when UPS no longer ships firearms for individuals. Others have posted that they purchased the shipping label from shipmygun.com and were refused at the shipping center. You have to schedule a pickup by UPS now, and that costs extra. I'm not arguing, just adding detail for the current situation.

Should be fine as long as you called for a pickup. You cannot go drop off at a UPS store or a corporate hub. Just call for a pickup and they'll come pick it up. All firearms have to be picked up by a driver.

Other than that should be fine.

I honestly don't know how they're getting away with that. When I do a firearm shipment it requires that I schedule a pickup. It won't let me make a label without scheduling a pickup. So I'm not sure how they're getting around that.

From UPS site:"Firearm Products are not accepted for shipment via UPS Drop Boxes or UPS On-Call Pickup®, and may not be tendered to, dropped off, or picked up at locations of UPS Customer Centers, The UPS Store®, any third party retailer, or any UPS Access Point™ location, with the sole exception that pre-packaged, pre-labeled Firearm Products may be dropped off at UPS Customer Centers. Non contract shippers must coordinate with a UPS approved Firearm Products shipper to whom they will ship the Firearm Product to obtain a shipping label that complies with UPS’s requirements for the shipment of Firearm Products. Such pre-packaged, pre-labeled shipments can be tendered at a UPS Customer Center. Firearm Products are not eligible for Delivery Change Requests (including, but not limited to, requests to reroute) or UPS My Choice® requests.

Ship my gun has a special agreement/contract with UPS. You get a letter to show the counter person if there are any issues.

were did you get that? you can not have it picked up by the truck, I just shipped a handgun 1 1/2 weeks ago, it is true you have to ship to an FFL.

"Firearm products"?

I think that means parts.

I have a firearms " parts" account and I have a "firearms" account. Firearm parts can be dropped off, firearms must be picked up by a driver.

There is definitely something shifty about the whole thing. This one company getting to skip the rules everyone else has to follow.

I wonder who owns them... This "shipmygun" company. And how did they get to skip over the rules.

That's not true. That is the point of ship my gun that you are using their FFL and you just go down and drop it at your local UPS hub. No need for picks ups. I have used them since the UPS change.
