Sharpie Permanent Marker

I reuse the plastic ammo holders from Federal ammunition.
I mark cartridge, bullet, powder on the bottom and charge weights across the top.
When i'm ready to try something new, i just use some spray silicone on a paper towel and wipe right off.

Must have snagged a few Chinese knock offs. I bought a two
pack a month ago at a Dollar General. A week later the black
will smear on anything I put it on. The ones I got at Staples do
not, and dry hard. I recently cleaned off a pile of loading tubs
real easy with Isopropyl.......
Commie knock offs :)

Dry erase markers work well for this as well. We use permanent markers to create lines for data tables on whiteboards a lot at work. The lines stay when cleaning the contents of the table that are written in dry erase. When we want to erase the permanent marker lines we simply draw over them with dry erase markers and then wipe them away.

Learned this when someone wrote on a huge (expensive) whiteboard with a Sharpie. Go over the Sharpie marks with a whiteboard pen, and everything will wipe off as if it was dry-erase (though there may still be some ghosting depending on the quality of the whiteboard coating.)

Yer all a bunch of sissys. I skip all the "half measures" and go straight to the MEK. That's the stuff to remove any kind of mark -- even a bad tattoo. It'll even travel through your skin, into the blood stream and dissolve your bad cholesterol. Erases plaque from the brain, and floaters from the eyes. :p ;) jd

I'll go you one better....."Sledge-O-Matic" Removes walls from finger
prints......LOL

This is not gun-related but, helpful. Many times I mark hard smooth surfaces with my Sharpie. Later I have to change what I wrote and things get messy. The ever-knowing Internet showed me something today. When wishing to remove permanent marker writing...Simply go over the original writing with the Sharpie again, and quickly, (before it dries) wipe the writing off with a rag or paper towel. Bingo! You end up with a clean surface. I spent a good 1/2 hour this morning removing old writing from plastic ammo boxes. Now I can write on them again. LOL.
Using a dry erase marker over permanent has the same effect and is easy to clean off....

I tried all kinds of stuff but DRY ERASE MARKERS are the easiest for me. I switched to these for all may labeling NOW. Bought cheap on XXbay and can read across the room.
