I moved to the lakes area of north central Arkansas 30 some years ago. The roads are crooked so it takes a little longer to get places but privacy has its price. Costs are low. The weather is tolerable. There are 4 seasons and the area is beautiful in its own way each season. It is 100 miles or 2 hours for me to get to any of the major cities in all 4 directions, Springfield, MO, Conway, Springdale, Jonesboro.

Sounds just like my hometown. Oh wait, it is.

I could tell you many stories. Back in the day he didn't want to pay a 25 cent toll and took the long slow way to Ft Worth. He got rear ended by a girl in a stolen car, totaled his and the car in front of him. He had to replace his car and the one he hit, but he saved the quarter. Yea, I remember him driving 10 miles out of the way in Houston traffic to save 2 cents a gal. on gas. Ask him about the time he had his metal detector outside his barn looking for the money that he had buried.
Not a finer guy and he would do anything for you.

If I drew a 75 mile circle around Broken Bow, Ok, are there good medical facilities in that area? I know that there use to not be much for medical in most rural areas, but in the last 20 years, a lot of the big players in medicine have started to branch out further from the metropolitan areas.

We have a plethora of ticks and chiggers, 5 kinds of venomous snakes in abundance and two nasty spiders.
If fiddle backs were worth a quarter my shop would buy me a lifetime of primers and powder.
I’ve lived here for 63 years. There are better places.
