SEB Update

Re: MAX rest

I shipped 10 MAX rests to Ernie this afternoon. They should be arrived in a few days.

Another 20 units will be shipped this week & next week.

Each MAX comes with a regular counterweight set which will hold most guns up to 80 lbs, and a 3 pc bags.

If you need more weight for heavier gun than 80 lbs (just in case?) - or a special request, please contact Ernie or me.

These rests are exactly the same as Sam Hall's MAX rest.

Thanks,
seb.

Update: MAX rests
As promised, I shipped 10 more MAX rests to Ernie Bishop last Friday. Ten more units will be shipped in this week / Friday. (This makes total of 30 units, e.g. the "regular" MAX).
The first shipment have already arrived last Friday, the second shipment should be arrived in this week.
I believe that Ernie is now starting to distribute the rests.
I could probably finish the Special Edition units (10 to 15 units) around late February.

(I will also have 25 units ship to Australia in this week. Call the Australian dealer for the MAX rest, Stuart & Annie Elliot - BRT).

Update: JOY-pod
I will soon make some more prototypes (new model) for further testing & feedback.
These ones are designed specifically for F-TR use.
(The "Tactical" model will be made when I get another chance).
I'm still contemplating with the coarse elevation adjustment & the cant adjustment & the legs material, but I must be able to settle the design next week & finish the prototypes around first week of March 2013.

In the USA, I will have Jim Croft and Mr. Middleton Tompkins to try the new model prototypes.
I will send three more units to Mr. Larry Bartholome, Ernie Bishop, and Accurate Shooter.
In the UK, I promised to send the new model to Mr. Laurie Holland & Vince Bottomley.
In Australia, I could probably ask Stuart & Annie Elliot to try the bipod.

Update: NEO rests in the work.
We are in process with the NEO's parts now. We do hope we can finish these rests (total 200 units) around mid May 2013.
Please don't rush me. My man & I already worked for about 12 hours a day, almost no holidays, to speedy the delivery time.
Your understanding & patience is much appreciated!

Re: bipod.
I just made it another/new prototype this week.
This one is intended for F-Class use.

Weight & rigidity is my main concern. This one, without lever screws, weighs just 20 ounces (I think the lightest I could make with "all metal" material). The bipod can accept my whole weight (145 lbs) with minimum flex. With 3 lever screws to lock the legs & the cant feature it should weight 20.5 to 21 oz max.
The one shown in the photos is equipped with symmetry legs. I have another one with longer leg on the left. (the legs & feet are compatible).

Legs: knock-down 1" diameter alum pipe (can be epoxy glued for stronger construction), about 19" wide apart, constant width.
Feet: polyacetal/delrin, or alum "half ball" 1.5" diameter + spike (not shown in the photos). Optional rubber feet maybe needed too.
Top with Anschutz rail (European style). Optional Weaver or Picatinny or sling nut.
Height adjustment from +/- 6" to 10"
It has cant feature (14 degree) on the coaxial unit, my new finding.
Can be used either up for up, or up for down, simply by reversing the unit.

Let me know your thought about this model gentlemen.
The coaxial unit is already perfect to me. The cant feature also works great.
I also have many designs but this one is the lightest one.... I'm just not quite sure if the "look" is good already or not?
High polish or anodize?
All metal or with carbon fiber legs?
I'll make more units next week then send them to some friends for testing & feedback.
So any input will be much appreciated!
I also need to learn how to anodize alumunium (class III type if possible), if you have the knowledge or source to get the chemicals & equipments please let me know. I'll pay for good $$$ for it. Or I can give you a production bipod or a rest for a trade/barter, if you like.
Thanks,
seb.

Thank you mate! :) I'm just trying my best to make my bipod as good as possible and trying to gather possible inputs here - just like when I was starting to create the NEO rest. We don't have good/interesting matches down here in Indonesia, no F-Clcass shoot etc - without inputs from you guys here I wouldn't be able to make a good product.
Some fellow shooters asked me if this prototype would withstand a .308 - the answer is Yes / Sure! I was told several weeks ago that the first prototype works great (with .308), and the latest news is Mr. Holland in the UK won an F-Class match with maximum score using the first prototype. That was why I decided to make the bipod.
In addition, I am 100% sure that this new prototype is even better than the first prototype...i.e. the weight, function of the coaxial unit & joystick operation, the cant feature, sturdier legs etc.
I will have some really great F-Class shooters to test the prototypes (total 8 units) in the next few weeks - that way the production units would be as perfect as possible for the first time they come out.
Best Wishes,
seb.

My email got hacked/virus/whatever and sent out an emails with a link-don't open the link.
I have changed my password, but I can't send any emails at this time yet.
Just sent a message to their customer care.
Sorry for all of you got a bad email from me :'(

A short video shooting a .308 off of the #2 prototype bipod in this link... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

Time allows, I would make a better video after I have finished the prototype units... probably around two weeks from now.
I also found a new way to adjust the height of the legs - with fine 4mm increment & positive "click". It's very easy, comfort & quick to adjust.

Link shows unavailable for me. Can you other folks get to it ok?

I am very curious and interested in this bipod. I was able to watch the video and the bipod looks to stabilize the rifle very well. I did not see any pounce in the rifle but I am curious to know as to why the rear rest was covered? Do you have any pictures of your target?

I'll take a better video in the next few days, using the finished prototype unit & my own rear bag....seb.

FYI-I know I have 20 voice-mails and some unanswered emails.
I just got back late yesterday from doing some preacher training in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
I will be getting to calls and emails on Monday or Tuesday.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Earnie, I just purchased a NEO rest, an earlier version without the upgrades. I am interested in buying the upgrade kit if it is available, Tim
